What to look for in roofing companies:
If you’re in the market for a new roof you probably already know what a big investment it can be. Here are some basic things to look for that will help you narrow down your selection and choose the right roofing contractor for your project.
- Don’t immediately accept the lowest bid. A low bid may be an indicator of poor quality materials or sub-standard work. At the same time we are often able to offer a low bid because we have low overhead and a source for quality materials at lower prices.
- How long is the warranty?
- Make certain the roofing company is licensed and insured. Ask about insurance, particularly liability.
- Ask for references.
- Check with the Better Business Bureau.

Many of our current customers were never aware of the damage that existed on their roof until after meeting with a Curb Appeal Construction representative to discuss their roof repair; Arkansas customers receive, as part of our free inspections, photographs of any damage that is visible. This makes many of our customers feel better informed by actually seeing the damage.

✓ When we inspect your roof we will look to see if there are any blistered, curled, or split shingles.
✓ We look to see if there are loose or missing shingles or tiles of your roof.
✓ We will inspect your roof for any exposed nails. They can be a source of leaks.
✓ If your roof Is Asphalt shingles or composition shingles, we will look for big and small dark patches, which would indicate the granular coating has worn away.
✓ We look for significant accumulation of granules in your rain gutters.
✓ Where ridges and hips meet, roof shingles may more easily break or work loose in these spots.
✓ We inspect valleys, rusty metal or displaced roof shingles along the valley are signs of roof weaknesses.
✓ We inspect the flashing around plumbing vents and chimneys for loose roof shingles or rusty, loose flashing.
✓ We make sure step flashing around chimneys is well embedded in the mortar between bricks.
✓ We calculate your attic ventilation to insure it is correct. A little known fact is improper ventilation will void most manufactures roofing warranties.
✓ We also check the gutters closely for sagging and signs of leaks between sections.
